The daily exam of corporate identity work begins after the designer gets off the table. Can the sales team maintain the same visual language when preparing bids, sharing an announcement, and printing new business cards? The identity system becomes available to the extent that it can make things easier.
Start from the materials used
The first step is to inventory business cards, email signatures, presentations, offers, social media, and product materials. Not every business needs the same application package. For example, a manufacturer who participates in fairs with the priorities of a product that only works online has different priorities. Offer coverage should be based on this list; it should not be magnified with templates that will not be used.
Write the manual clear enough to decide
Brand guide can include logo space, minimum usage size, colors and fonts. However, showing the rules alone is not enough. What to do when the title is too long, how to place the text on the photo, and how to prepare a joint announcement with a second brand should also be explained by examples.
Test editable templates
Ask a team member who is not interested in the design to prepare a sample proposal before delivery. The template can be difficult to use if there is text overflow, incorrect font or alignment distortion. The manual and template should be corrected together.
Setting a single sharing point and responsible person for recent files is also part of the design decision. When older versions are mixed with new files, consistency quickly breaks down. When evaluating the identity budget, consider not only its appearance, but also how comfortable the team will be producing in the months to come.
Test ID in business documents for B2B trust
Do not evaluate the corporate identity only in the logo presentation. The information must be transferred to the same layout in everyday documents such as bids, product statement, email signature and presentation. The files that the B2B customer receives from different teams must show the same brand and current contact information. As much as the use of logo, the readability of title hierarchy, table style and technical data is important. Try templates with a real product and a long company name; you will not prove that the daily use of empty samples will be smooth.
